CDs

24 Jul

Recently I’ve gotten back into buying CDs rather than just downloading music, so I’ve been spending a lot of time looking for CDs, and for my music tastes, and what I’m willing to spend on a CD, I’ve been going to two different stores, Best Buy, simply because they have a decent variety of music and stuff I like, and then BuyBack’s, since they have cheaper stuff and I’ve found some CDs that I didn’t even know were in existence anymore.  In my experience, it seems that people tend to be quiet and thumb through CDs, maybe pick one up and put it back, or carry it around for a little bit and then put it back in place of another one, or maybe buy it.  There also seems to be an awareness3 that when a person is browsing and gets close to another person, one person will move back and let the other continue to look.

In the Lord of the Rings, there are so many different places in the story. The Shire, Mordor, the city of Gondor, Rivendell and so on. Those places are for different residents, so they are builded and decorated so differently from each other.

The Shire, for the Hobbits: since the Hobbits are sort of lazy and they don’t care much about neither their own nor their homes’ appearence, the whole Shire are kind of “crapy”, but peaceful. There are huge farmlands there and people all concentrate on the plants. So the Shire has a primary color of green which also refering to a peaceful and quiet homeland.

Gondor, for the Human: as decribed in the story, human are always thirty for power and glory so as their capital, the city of Gondor is magnificent (befor it is under attack). And its main structure is like a tower, which could be a symbol of orders and rules.

Rivendell, for the elves: a city, or I should say a village “planted” by the elves. Since the elves are the most ancient and wisely creature in the middle earth, their homeland is also the most natural place there. We can see that the scenery are wonderful and there are lots of brooks, falls, forest everywhere and even the buildings looks like they are not builded but planted which all make Rivendell a place without any pollution or any sense of evil.
